Quick Demo of the M4000D Digital Mellotron

We ran through a few of the many sounds that will be standard on the all new M4000D Digital Mellotron. We expect we will receive our first shipment of these sometime in December.

A beta version of the long awaited M4000D has landed at BCM. It feels and sounds like the real thing and the variety of original sounds is amazing.

OTO Biscuit Theremin Heartbeat

We ran a Moog Etherwave Theremin through the OTO Biscuit and noticed a nice heartbeat occurred when the Theremin hit a very low note with a fast attack. The OTO Biscuit crushed the tone to bits which was also aided in the effect.

Thanks to Josh Flynn for shooting the video!

PLEASE NOTE: If you are listening through tiny computer speakers, do not waste your time listening. This will not sound like anything unless played thru some serious woofers or high end headphones which allow you to hear the low frequencies in this video.

All New BCM Website

The all "New" Big City Music website is now up and running. It looks similar to our old BCM website, but works far better. The search bar actually funtions - hallelujah! And it will no longer "time out" when you submit your order.

All gear is not yet listed on the new website, but everything will be steadily appearing in the coming weeks. Please call us if you need something that has not yet come up on the new site.

If you have the OLD BCM website bookmarked, DELETE IT because the URL no longer works. Just go to the simplified URL: www.bigcitymusic.com and bookmark this in its place (the old BCM website URL had an extension after the .com/). Thanks!

Dewanatron Hymnotron

Another magical instrument from Dewanatron!

Dewanatron Swarmatron - faux THX sound

Here's the amazing Dewanatron Swarmatron with its eight swarming voices sounding somewhat like the THX sound that we've all heard in movie theaters. Thanks to Josh Flynn for shooting the video. And thanks to Leon and Brian Dewan for creating such a beautiful instrument! :-)

Here is josh Flynn demoing the all new Eowave Persephone Mk II. Unlike its predecessor, the Mk II has duophonic capabilities.

The first half of our video shows its duophonic capability. The second half is processed through the OTO Biscuit.

Jackson Hoose came to Big City Music to check out the Dewanatron Triple Slice and some Cwejman modules. David Gerry stepped in and both of them went at it. We liked the sound and taped a bit of the fun. ;-)
